Cattle: The Roye Ranch breeding program has been built by setting lofty goals and achieving these goals by hard work, intensive management and careful selection.
The Angus female was chosen as the foundation for the Roye Ranch for her mothering ability, built in carcass value, and efficiency. All females selling are the result of matingÃɢs to outstanding AI sires and performance tested bulls purchased at Oklahoma Beef Inc. The calf crop will also be sired by these individuals. Some of the AI sire include: Mytty in Focus, Hoover Dam, and Rito Revenue. Buyers will find Future Direction, Traveler 8180, and EXT and the pedigrees of those females selling. Recently a Polled Hereford bull produced at Durham Ranches in Stillwater was added to the breeding program to add crossbreeding for even more pounds of production.
Having confidence in the history and the predictability of the herd, the Royes are now heavily involved in the harvesting of the top end of the steer crop in an ÃɢAll naturalÃɢ beef program. The Royes have developed a reputation of producing an excellent product for many locals. Owner and manager are Certified Master Cattlemen through the OSU Extension.
